A Chinese athlete’s changing ritual has gotten a lot of attention from fans.

Chinese portal Sohu.com highlighted the ceremony of Chinese Super League (CSL) club Henan FC striker Peng Bowian on Nov. 11 (local time).

Peng took off his jersey top after scoring an 11th-minute goal in second-half stoppage time in a 1-0 away win over Qingdao Hainiu in the 23rd round of the 2024 CSL on Tuesday.

It is believed that he was celebrating his fourth career CSL goal in 329 days with a ‘topless’ gesture. It was a gesture that came with 토토사이트 추천 warnings.

However, fans were more interested in Peng’s body than the goal itself. Peng’s arms and body color were distinctly different, and Sohu.com described it as “the reappearance of Bai Suk in the Chinese Super League.

According to the outlet, Chinese fans commented, “Next time, don’t take off your clothes after scoring a goal,” and “Her stomach swaying is really cute.”

Peng Bowyuan’s ceremony epitomizes the good mood Henan has been in lately. Henan have won three, drawn two and picked up 11 points in their last five games to jump up to seventh place. The team’s poor start to the season led to speculation that coach Nam Ji-il would be sacked, but the team has made a ghostly comeback since June.

On June 27, they beat Shandong Taishan 1-0 at home, led by Choi Kang-hee. With 31 points, Henan narrowed the gap to three points over fifth-place Shandong (34 points), which suffered a third straight defeat after a 1-3 loss at home to Changzhou Mighty Lions on Sept. 9. However, key striker Nemanja Kovic suffered a sudden injury that day. He is expected to be out for about a month, causing a loss of strength.

Choi returned to Shandong earlier this month after spending two weeks in South Korea at the end of last month due to health issues. The team’s poor performance this season has led to local reports of their future.

Chengdu Rongcheng, coached by Suh Won-jeong, continued their upward trajectory with a 3-0 win away to Shenzhen on Sept. 9, their third straight win and 10th consecutive game unbeaten (8 wins, 2 draws). With 51 points, the club is in third place in the Asian Champions League qualification race, behind Shanghai Port (63 points) and Shanghai Shenhua (58 points).
