Kyosuke Tagawa has returned to Japan after a brief stint in Europe.
The Kashima Antlers announced Tagawa’s transfer through the club’s official channel on July 10 (Japan time). The club then released an interview with Tagawa on their official YouTube channel.
Kashima’s offer didn’t give Tagawa much thought, as he said, “I got the offer first. I admired Kashima myself. 토토사이트 순위 I didn’t think much about it,” he said of the move.
He also expressed his ambitions for the fans. “I will strive to be a recognized and loved player,” he said.
Tagawa is a Japanese forward. He has good physicality at 181 centimeters and a good left-footed kick. His main positions are center forward and winger, and when he plays on the flanks, he can cut into the middle.
He grew up in Sagandos. He made his senior debut in 2017 and has played for FC Tokyo since the 2019 season. In 2020, he scored two goals and provided five assists in 21 league games, and in 2021, he scored six goals in 37 games, including cup competitions.
His performances earned him a move to Europe in the second half of the 2021-22 season. His destination was Santa Clara of the Portuguese League. In a season and a half, he showed promise, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in 42 games, before moving to Hearts for the 2023-24 season.
Life at Hearts was not easy. After losing out in the competition for a starting spot, Tagawa was mostly used as a substitute, scoring just three goals in 21 games, including cup competitions. Eventually, he became a non-factor, and after a year, he looked for a move. Kashima approached him, and a deal was struck after a smooth negotiation process.
