Most recently, Woodbine Entertainment, Ontario’s leading horse racing operator, announced that it has updated the working hours for its Racebook at Woodbine Mohawk Park in Campbellville. Now, the venue will also welcome patrons on Sunday afternoons. As part of a special offer on Sunday, July 16, 2023, the track offered past performance program pages.

The track is one of the leading venues for Standardbred racing across Canada and it is located 40 km southwest of Woodbine Entertainment’s other racetrack, Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. In addition to world-class harness racing, it also offers a slot machine parlour with over 1,000 slots, which is operated by Great Canadian Entertainment.

-Updated Racebook Hours

Now, after the recent changes by the horse racing operator, Woodbine Mohawk Park’s Racebook will also be available on Sundays. For the occasion, the track also added performance program pages from the past which were free. In addition to that, the operator reported that the Tim Hortons will be open during all Racebook hours throughout the week.

According to the horse racing leader, the Racebook at the Campbellville track will be open on Sunday after 12 p.m. Then at 6 p.m. on Monday, as well as Tuesday and Thursday at again 6 p.m. Then on Fridays and Saturdays the Racebook will be open at 12 p.m. For fans who are unable to visit the track, they can also place wagers on horse racing online via HPIbet.com.

In addition to the Racebook, recently, the horse racing leader announced that it has implemented Swinger or also known as Omni Wager to its Ontarian facilities. The new vertical requires horseplayers to select two of the top three finishers in a race. Then, one of the participants can win with their preferred choice of horses finishing a race first and second, first and third, or second and third.

However, shortly after the announcement the operator provided some bad news for horsepeople as it had to cancel Saturday’s July 15 fourth race from the card. The rest of the events from the cards were also void. This was due to a torrential downpour over the track. Now, racing at the track continues as usual, next races are on Monday, July 17, 2023, with a post time of 7 p.m.

-Celebrating 60 Years of Horse Racing

This year is one of significant importance to Woodbine Mohawk Park as in April the track celebrated 60 years of horse racing. As the occasion required, the facility prepared some special festivities to mark the event. The first 300 fans through the door on the celebratory weekend were treated with cupcakes while there were also specialty drinks.

But that was not all. The track also had a celebratory program, and its seventh race will be titled the “Mohawk 60th Anniversary Pace.” Its new Track Lights Colour Show was also presented, it is a synchronized light and audio show, similar to those that can often be seen in arenas and stadiums of massive sporting events.
