Jannick Sinner (4th place, Italy) was selected as the winner of the Men’s Professional Tennis (ATP) Tour’s Skill Development Award of the Year.Sinner, born in 2001, was first ranked 15th in the world in January of this year, but has now risen to 4th.He also reached the semifinals of his first major tournament at Wimbledon this year. The number of singles wins in tour competitions increased from once last year to four this year.Sinner also led Italy to victory in the Davis Cup, a national competition, for the first time in 47 years since 1976.
