The Sono Skingunners of professional basketball have set up shop in Goyang City.
The franchise announced today that it has signed an affiliation agreement with Goyang City at the Open Mayor’s Office of Goyang City Hall.
Under the agreement, the Goyang Gymnasium, which will serve as Sono’s home venue, will be known as the Goyang Sono Arena.
“Sono and the city of Goyang plan to provide citizens with healthy leisure opportunities through professional basketball games, and to cooperate with each other through various social contribution activities such as fostering sports culture and contributing to the revitalization of the local economy,” the team said.
Sono star Jeon Sung-hyun has been appointed as an ambassador for Goyang City. “As an ambassador, I will take responsibility and do my best to give the citizens of Goyang memories and enjoyment,” said Jeon.
Meanwhile, Sono will play a practice game against Daegu 스포츠토토 Korea Gas Corporation at 4 p.m. on the 22nd at the Sono Arena Auxiliary Stadium in Goyang to refine their game and develop a sense of practice.
