Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) introduced three women’s volleyball veterans who have continued to play active roles since its inception.

There are players who have been on the court for 20 winters since the league was first launched in the 2005 season until the 23-24 season.

The main characters are Cheonggwanjang Han Song-i (MB), Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hwang Yeon-ju (OP), and Korea Expressway Corporation Lim Myeong-ok (L).

Han Song-i joined the Korea Expressway Corporation as the first overall pick in the 2002 Super League draft, before the launch of the V-League.

Afterwards, he started his professional career at Korea Road Corporation with the launch of the V-League in the 2005 season, and went through Heungkuk Life Insurance in the 2008-09 season and GS Caltex in the 11-12 season before settling in his current team, CheongKwanJang (team name at the time, KGC Ginseng Corporation) in the 17-18 season. 토토사이트

Han Song-i, who played in the outside heater position at the beginning of the league, led the road construction team to its heyday in the mid-2000s, including first place in the regular league in the first year of the V-League in 2005. 

In particular, in the 07-08 season, she won the scoring award by beating all foreign players, including domestic heavy hitters such as Kim Yeon-kyung and Hwang Yeon-ju, and this was the only scorer award since the introduction of the foreign player system in the women’s division in the 06-07 season until the 13-14 season. It is also the scoring award for a domestic player.

She later tried to change her position to her current middle blocker starting in the 2014-15 season, and reached her second peak in the 2019-20 season. 

He achieved 600 blocks for the 5th time in his career and enjoyed the joy of being ranked as the best 7 (middle blocker) for the first time in his career.

In the 20-21 season, he recorded 0.699 blocks per set and became the block queen, while also being the best for two consecutive seasons following the previous season. Ranked 7 (middle blocker).

Han Song-i said, “I am grateful to have been able to play while receiving a lot of love from my first professional year until now.

I hope that professional volleyball becomes a sport that is loved more by fans, and I will always show my best on the court until the last moment of retirement.

ju Hwang Yeon-ju took her first steps as a professional player by being selected by Heungkuk Life Insurance as the second pick in the first round of the 2005 season V-League draft. Afterwards, he changed to the Hyundai Engineering & Construction uniform for the 10-11 season and has been on the court ever since.

Yeonju Hwang won the V-League upon his debut. Playing as an aposite spiker, he won the Rookie of the Year Award, Back Attack Award, and Sub Award in the 2005 season, and in the 2010-11 season, he gave his team Hyundai Engineering & Construction its first championship win, while also winning the Sub Award, regular league MVP, All-Star MVP, and Champion.

He enjoyed his prime by sweeping all MVP awards in the deciding game.

Even though he is already in his 20th season, he still shows off his strength. In particular, in the 22-23 season, he filled the void of Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s foreigner Apogit Yasmin, who left at the end of the third round due to a back injury.

He played in 28 games and scored a triple-digit score of 249 points, showing his performance as good as his prime.

As he was the best striker, he also held many of the first-ever standards records in the women’s division. 

He set the first record of scoring 3,000 points in the 11-12 season, 300 subs in the 13-14 season, and 5,000 points in the 17-18 season, starting with 200 subs in the 10-11 season.

It was Hwang Yeon-joo who achieved the first triple crown in history. 

Since achieving her first triple crown in the 2005-06 season, she has achieved a total of four triple crowns, the fourth-highest record among foreign players and the most by a domestic player. In addition, she is currently ranked first in serving (458) and second in scoring (5,786 points) in the women’s division.

In response to a question about how she felt about playing together in the 20th season, Hwang Yeon-ju said, “I feel like I’m living with the V-League.

I’m proud to see the league develop from the first year and feel like I’m walking through history together. I want to repay you with quality performances.

The best libero in the women’s division, ‘Choi Ri’, Korea Expressway Corporation Lim Myeong-ok Lim

Myeong-ok, the captain of the Korea Expressway Corporation who achieved a miraculous reverse sweep victory last season, was selected by KT&G as the 3rd pick in the first round of the 2005 season.

Lim Myeong-ok, who was in the outside hitter position at the time of her nomination, switched to libero in the 2008-09 season and is showing good performance enough to be called ‘Choi Lee’, short for ‘best libero’.

As of today, she has 6,044 receiving accuracy and 16,116 defensive success, leading her in both categories. Her digs of 10,072 are the second highest after Heungkuk Life Insurance’s Kim Hae-ran (10,900).

Lim Myeong-ok has maintained the top receiving position for four consecutive seasons since the 19-20 season, standing tall as her receiving queen. 

In the 19-20 season, he recorded a receiving efficiency of 51.94% and ranked first in all categories including receiving, digs, and defense.

In the 22-23 season, when he won the championship, he recorded a receiving efficiency of 59.85% and 8.625 defenses per set, ranking first in both categories. Ranked 1st.

Based on her performance, she also won the Best 7 (Libero) award for four consecutive seasons from the 19-20 season to the 22-23 season.

During her twenty seasons of perfect attendance, she set several records, most notably the number of games played.

 Since she achieved 500 regular league appearances for the first time in the V-League women’s division through a match against Heungkuk Life Insurance in December of the 22-23 season, she currently holds the record for the most appearances in the women’s division with 527 appearances. 

As for her record, in the 12-13 season she became the third player ever to reach 5,000 defenses, and in the 17-18 season she became the third player ever to reach 1,000 defenses.

Lim Myeong-ok expressed his ambition, saying, “I joined the team in 2005, and I was impressed to see players born in 2005 joining this year. I want to keep working harder so that the history of professional volleyball can become my path and maintain the best position for a long time.”
