Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) got a sweet break thanks to heavy snowfall.

“The home match against Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena has been postponed due to the heavy snowfall overnight,” the Bavarians announced on their website on Sunday. Bayern Munich was originally scheduled to host Union Berlin in the 13th round of the 2023-2024 German Bundesliga season.

However, the heavy snowfall made the match unplayable. “Even if we had been able to play at the Allianz Arena, we would have had to postpone the match due to safety concerns and transportation difficulties. Snow falling from the Allianz Arena roof poses a major risk to spectators. Traveling to the stadium is virtually impossible. The Munich police are also advising people to stay at home.”

Round 13 against Union Berlin will be rearranged at a later date.

Good news for Kim Min-jae. After missing the first round of the German Football Association (DFB) Pokal in September, Kim had the stamina to play 11 consecutive full-time matches. He didn’t take a break from the UEFA Champions League or A matches.

Kim Min-jae got his first break on November 30 against Copenhagen (Denmark) in the Champions League. The team had already qualified for the Champions League round of 16. With the postponement of the match against Union Berlin, the team will have about two weeks to rest before the match against Eintracht Frankfurt on November 9.
