Like it is every single year it came down to last minute chaos as the AFL’s 2024 Trade Period came to a close.

More than 10 players remained in limbo as the clock entered the final 30 minutes on Wednesday night before the paperwork began flying in.

The Western Bulldogs were the busiest team on the night with Bailey Smith, Jack Macrae and Caleb Daniel all departing the kennel for greener pastures.

Hawthorn put the league on notice throughout the 2024 season and they pulled off a blockbuster move to secure star Eagles defender Tom Barrass.

Jake Stringer was also on the table and then 사설 off it and then ultimately back on as he landed at the GWS Giants in a deal that was locked in with only minutes to spare.
