After Monaco’s loss to Lyon clinched the Ligue 1 title, PSG took to their official social media accounts to announce the win. Lee Kang-in also took to Instagram to share a video of the club’s victory and celebrate with a “trophy” emoji.

Ligue 1 also congratulated PSG on their 12th league title on their official social media accounts. Lee Kang-in’s theatrical equalizer against Le Havre drew attention when he called it the “title goal” that decided PSG’s championship.

Lee came off the bench in the 31st round of the 2023-24 French Ligue 1 match against Le Havre at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, on Aug. 28 and entered the field at the start of the second half with his team trailing 1-2.

Down 1-2 at the break, PSG bolstered their attacking lineup at the start of the second half with the introduction of Lee Kang-In, Seni Mayolu, and Kylian Mbappe, but before the substitutions could have an effect, they conceded another goal from the penalty spot in the 16th minute of the second half.

Down by two goals, PSG kept their hopes alive in the 33rd minute when Ashraf Hakimi found the back of the net, but they were unable to find an equalizer in regulation time.

It was Lee Kang-In’s left foot that saved PSG from defeat. In late stoppage time, Lee sent a left-footed cross into the box that Portuguese striker Gonzalo Hamus headed home for a theatrical equalizer. Lee celebrated with his teammates after assisting on Hamus’ goal.

After lifting his first trophy just six months after joining PSG, Lee has been a regular fixture in the team’s league title challenge, helping them to win their second trophy of the season with a crucial equalizer against Le Havre with a sharp cross.

After winning the Trophée des Champions and then being crowned Ligue 1 champions, PSG and Lee have now won two titles and are aiming for a quadruple, with the remaining two competitions (the Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League) also in their sights.
