Suwon KT kept its chances of a direct playoff berth alive with a hard-fought victory over Daegu KOGAS.
KT defeated KOGAS 85-81 in a home game of the 2023-2024 regular season at Suwon KT Arena on Wednesday. KT remained in third place with a 32-19 record, closing the gap on second-place Changwon LG to two games and keeping its hopes of a direct playoff berth alive. However, if LG defeats the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis on Thursday, it will clinch the fourth playoff spot. KOGAS was led by Andrew Nicholson with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
At Jamsil Student Gymnasium, Seoul SK defeated Seoul Samsung 84-75 in the “S-Derby” to extend Samsung’s winning streak to 11 games. Fourth-ranked SK, which had lost three straight, improved to 30-21 and maintained a two-game lead over third-place KT. Jamil Warney continued his consistent play with 30 points and 15 rebounds, while Kim Sun-hyung (15 points) scored the decisive points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Samsung.
At the Wonju General Gymnasium, Anyang Jungkwanjang cruised to a 96-68 victory over regular-season champion Wonju DB. Six players scored in double figures, led by Jamil Wilson’s 16 points and Park Ji-hoon’s 19 points.
